Practical Archiving

What does it mean to preserve a life?

Pile of Photographs

Archiving came into my life early and as an instinct. Preservation began as a habit, more than a conscious hobby. Today, I understand it as a lifestyle.

Keeping a personal or family archive is proof of life, evidence of our earthly pursuits. In doing so, we instill the belief that our stories are worth recording, collecting, and sharing.

Society places great value on understanding history. We study dates, names, and events of the distant. While I see the importance of looking at the world at large, Eddafy exists for what is local.

I'm here to assist in removing the complexity of archiving and implement practical ways to package the past.

TESTIMONIALS

~ Tokens of Appreciation ~

"I am so pleased and truly happy that I chose Eddafy! Marta took decades-old home videos that had been sitting in closets and attics at my parents’ houses and brought them back to life in a way that truly exceeded anything I expected.

Growing up, my parents had one of those early video cameras—at the time, it felt like a huge purchase and something not many families had. They taught us how to use it, and we ran with it. We filmed everything: dance parties, random play sessions, family gatherings, and even what felt like a major life event for our family—moving from North Dakota to Idaho. I was heading into 7th grade, my middle sister into 4th, and our youngest sister was just a toddler. Those tapes captured such a raw and meaningful and beautiful window into our lives.

Over time, those memories became something we weren’t even sure we’d ever be able to access again.

Marta changed that. She carefully digitized everything and created beautifully organized files that allow us to revisit those moments anytime. Watching them now is incredibly meaningful—it’s not just nostalgic, it’s powerful. It feels like getting a piece of our family history back.

Marta’s approach is intentional and thoughtful in a way that’s rare. Her philosophy—“The secret to life, make it your own”—comes through in her work. She offers a wide variety of services centered around organizing, preserving, and creating space for your stories, and it’s clear she truly cares about what she’s building for each client.

Cool service, cool product, and an even cooler person behind it.

I’m incredibly grateful and would strongly recommend looking into EDDAFY if you have memories you want to preserve in a lasting, meaningful way."
